Winter is HERE.
Hello, SLE - It finally looks like winter has arrived. For anyone who is new to our neighborhood:
The Road Crew typically plows when we have more than four inches of snow on our roads (6 inches, if first snow).
It’s best to plow late at night or early in the morning, if possible, so there is the least amount of vehicles on the road.
However, if we are over four inches in the middle of the day, and can’t wait until night, the Road Crew plows when needed.
It’s currently looking like we will plow this evening. [UPDATE: we are holding until late tonight, early morning when snow stops]
Please be aware: The Road Crew does not plow or clear driveways. This is the responsibility of each homeowner to do for themselves.
There will be a berm in front of your driveway when plowing is complete. This is standard and not an oversight. Thanks for your understanding.
Check on your neighbors, especially if you know they may need help with snow management.
I hope it helps to include more info on all the moving parts of our operation so everyone can be on the same page.
I will provide another update later. Until then…
** PLEASE DRIVE SLOW & WITH CAUTION **
If you have anything to report, please email the facts only: issue, location, date and time to roads@spiritlakeeast.org.
Thanks for helping to keep our roads safe and checking on your neighbors who may need assistance.
