Roads Plowed…

Good morning, SLE - As you can see, the roads have been plowed. I just drove it all a second time after checking it out early this morning to meet the Road Crew at the shop after plowing to get their reports.

All looks good.

The downed stop sign at CDA and Priest has been temporarily reinstalled. We’ll continue to check on this until a more permanent fix can be done. But, please use caution and always come to a stop at intersections, even if there is no sign.

There are some leaning trees with the new snow load. While many smaller trees are bouncing back up once the snow falls out please drive your property that’s bordering the road and clear any trees that may have been compromised by snow load and are now impeding the roadway.

While some fallen trees have already been cleared (thank you), and I didn’t notice any currently threatening the roads, this can change throughout the day. This is not just a hazard for drivers, but damages our plow trucks, and prevents our operators from safely plowing the full width of the road.

For those who are out right now plowing their driveways, please be cautious when entering the road, and thanks for all those who are clearing the road of excess snow when finished. Much appreciated.

We’re expecting rain tonight and tomorrow. Then, we head into lower temps next week, so we will be sanding more to prep for icy conditions, and as needed from there.

*** PLEASE DRIVE SLOW ***

Again, if you know someone may need help with snow management, please check on them. Thanks for driving with caution and watching out for your neighbors.

As always, the best way to reach me is roads@spiritlakeeast.org. Just the facts, please, and thanks for your understanding if I don’t reply to you directly. I will always address the issue for all, though.

Enjoy your Saturday.
