Spring Cleanup Continues…

Sun, April 6, 2025, 1:30pm - Hello, SLE, hope you’re enjoying your weekend. You may have seen the grader was out for another full day again yesterday.

Our operator addressed the most in need spots on Hayden, Kelso, Liberty and Spirit.

The entrances at St. Joe and CDA from round-abouts to the 54 also got attention bc they take a beating, and the low boys from the highway project were gone on Sat.

All of these areas will be graded again shortly with our new serrated edges, which we will be picking up tomorrow, and donating our time to install on Tues.

The first of two pre-approved rock distribution projects is tentatively scheduled for Wed. I’ll let you know if that changes in my next report.

The entrances through Treeport (on the back of CDA and off of Sand Creek for those who are new) will be graded soon.

The roller is going to take a little more time as it will require generously-donated hours and materials during a busy season for all. We’ll incorporate it as soon as we can.

Thanks for your patience as we rollout strategic phases of spring cleanup. This is a process, and it’s North Idaho, and living off of unpaved roads takes grit.

My continued hope is that with more info, there will be greater understanding of why our roads will never be like asphalt, and repairs may take longer than we all wish.

This is not CDA.

We all moved here to enjoy the country life, low dues, and to weed-out the average guy. Still, we are doing the best we can with the budget we have, and we will keep at it!

Please continue to watch out for our heavy equipment as well as crews with KEC and IDT. Also, SLOW DOWN, for the preservation of our roads, and safety of all.

Speeding on dirt roads is dangerous. It also tears up our roads and wastes our shared investment in them. Leave early, if you can, especially with the work on the highway.

If you want to reach me with any questions or feedback, you can email roads@spiritlakeeast.org, and I’ll report an update to all, as needed.

Keep you posted and enjoy this beautiful Sunday. Jon
