Spring cleanup back on, grading report…
Sun, Mar 30, 1:15pm
Hello SLE - Hope you’re enjoying this beautiful weekend. Just a quick update…
Spring cleanup has resumed. With better weather this week, the grader was out hitting hot spots, which could be addressed so far.
Given our roads are continuing to thaw and we need to wait on certain areas, below is a list of what was done first, and more grading will be done next week.
On Wed (3/26), the most in need areas of
S. Hayden, Liberty, St. Joe, and CDA were addressed. Our grader had to work around the KEC project still underway, and now the lowboys that have been parking at our entrances to off-load heavy equipment for the Highway 54 project by IDT.
Yesterday, Sat (3/29), our grader was out all day again, this time addressing as many critical spots as possible on Tahoe, Newman, and the rest of CDA.
There is still much to be done including Kelso, Priest, N. Hayden, Spirit, etc. This will be followed by those pre-approved rock distribution areas mentioned earlier.
We’re working on a roller as well.
Please do not use your own equipment on our roads. They are property of SLE HOA, and while we appreciate the thought, we are rolling out cleanup based on how the ground is thawing so the frost isn’t exposed, which can lead to mud with additional rain.
Varying conditions of our roads also require special care like, for example, the back of CDA is solid rock. So, it must be managed differently than other areas, and we appreciate your understanding.
I hope these more detailed explanations help (that is the goal). Thanks, as always, for your patience. I will continue to keep you posted.
You can reach me at roads@spiritlakeeast.org and I will provide an update to all as needed. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Jon
